How to Buy Cards

Browse & Discover

Explore thousands of cards from verified sellers. Use filters to find exactly what you need by price, condition, rarity, set, and more.

Add to Cart

30 min hold

When you add items to your cart, they're reserved for 30 minutes. This ensures the cards are held for you while you complete checkout.

Checkout & Pay

Complete your purchase securely with Stripe. We support major credit cards and other payment methods. Your payment is held safely until you confirm receipt.

Track Your Order

Once the seller ships, you'll receive tracking information. Follow your package's journey right from your dashboard.

Confirm Receipt

When your cards arrive, confirm receipt to release payment to the seller. This is also your chance to leave a review and help the community.

Leave a Review

After confirming receipt, consider leaving a review for the seller. Your feedback helps other buyers make informed decisions and rewards great sellers.

Pricing & Fees

Card prices go directly to sellers. Riftbinder charges a small service fee on each transaction, which includes VAT where applicable. Your receipt will show a detailed breakdown of all costs.

Contact Sellers

Have questions about a card or order? Use the messaging system to contact sellers directly. This is the best way to clarify condition details, ask about combined shipping, or resolve minor issues quickly. You can access messages from your order details page or the seller's profile.

International Orders

Buying from a seller in another country? International orders use a reservation system so the seller can confirm exact shipping costs before you commit.

Create a Reservation

At checkout, you'll see an estimated shipping cost. A reservation is created to hold the items while the seller confirms the actual shipping price.

Wait for Seller Confirmation

The seller has 48 hours to confirm the exact shipping cost. You'll be notified when they respond.

Accept or Decline

24h to decide

Once the seller confirms the shipping cost, you have 24 hours to accept and pay the final amount, or decline. If you don't respond, the reservation expires automatically.

If a reservation expires or you decline, the items are released back to the seller's inventory. No charges are made until you explicitly accept and pay.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the order weight, destination, and the seller's location. Domestic shipping uses fixed rates based on weight tiers with clear pricing displayed at checkout. International shipping is calculated per-route based on the destination country and package weight. You can view our full shipping rate tables for detailed pricing across all regions and weight tiers.

Shipping Disclaimer

Shipping presets are suggestions only. Riftbinder does not provide tracking or insurance services. The seller is responsible for shipping the items. For high-value orders, we recommend discussing tracked/insured shipping options with the seller before purchase.

If Something Goes Wrong

We hope everything goes smoothly, but here's what to do if issues arise.

Responding to a Shipping Claim

Sometimes actual shipping costs exceed the estimate. If this happens before your order ships, the seller can submit a claim for the difference.

You have 7 days to respond:

  • Accept: Pay the difference and the seller ships your order
  • Decline: Order is canceled and you receive a full refund
  • No response: The claim and order expires, resolved as no payment was made upfront

Requesting a Refund

If something is wrong with your order before it ships, you can request a refund through your order details page.

Our team reviews all requests within 72 hours. If approved, you'll receive a full refund to your original payment method.

Important

Refund requests can only be submitted before the order ships. If you have an issue after delivery, please contact support for assistance.

Becoming a Seller

Complete these steps to start selling on the marketplace. It only takes a few minutes!

Verify Your Email

Make sure your account email is verified. This helps us keep the marketplace secure and trustworthy.

Add Your Details

Add your full name and shipping address. This information appears on shipping labels and helps buyers know where you're shipping from.

Connect Stripe

Set up your Stripe Connect account to receive payments. Stripe handles all the financial stuff securely, so you get paid directly to your bank.

You're all set! Create your first listing and join our community of sellers.

Creating & Managing Listings

Select a Card

Search our card database to find the card you want to sell. You can list any card from the Riftbound TCG.

Set Price & Condition

Choose your price and accurately describe the card's condition. Honest condition ratings build trust and lead to happy buyers.

Set Quantity

Have multiple copies? You can list them all at once. Buyers can purchase any number up to your available stock.

Publish

Review your listing and publish it. Your cards are now visible to buyers around the world!

Shipping Settings

Configure your shipping preferences in seller settings. You can enable/disable regions and set custom shipping tiers for special items like graded slabs or booster boxes.

Fulfilling Orders

When a buyer purchases your cards, here's how to get them delivered and get paid.

View & Prepare Order

Check your dashboard for new orders. Review the buyer's shipping address and gather the cards.

Pack & Ship

Pack the cards securely to prevent damage. Use appropriate protection like toploaders, sleeves, and cardboard.

Add Tracking

Enter the tracking number in your dashboard. This helps the buyer follow their package and provides proof of shipment.

4

Mark as Shipped

Confirm the shipment and wait for the buyer to receive and confirm delivery.

Get Paid

Once the buyer confirms receipt, payment is released to your Stripe account. You earned it!

Shipping Claims & International Reservations

Creating a Shipping Claim

If actual shipping costs exceed the estimate, you can submit a claim for the difference before shipping.

  1. 1. Go to the order and click "Submit Shipping Claim"
  2. 2. Enter the actual shipping cost and upload a receipt
  3. 3. The buyer has 7 days to accept or decline

If the buyer accepts, they pay the difference and you ship. If they decline or don't respond, the order is canceled.

Before You Ship

Always submit a shipping claim BEFORE shipping the order. If you ship first and the buyer declines the claim, you cannot recover the shipping cost. Wait for buyer acceptance before packing and shipping.

Handling International Reservations

When an international buyer creates a reservation, you need to confirm the actual shipping cost.

You have 48 hours to confirm the shipping price. If you don't respond in time, the reservation expires and the items are released back to your inventory.

Payout Claims

If you've shipped an order and the buyer hasn't confirmed receipt after 14 days, you can submit a payout claim to receive your payment.

Submit a Payout Claim

Go to the order in your seller dashboard and click 'Submit Payout Claim'. This initiates the review process.

Admin Review

Our team reviews the claim and attempts to contact the buyer to confirm delivery status.

Waiting Period

7 days

If the buyer doesn't respond within 7 days, the claim is automatically approved.

Payment Released

Once approved, the payment is released to your Stripe account.

Seller Protection

This system protects sellers from buyers who receive items but never confirm delivery. Always add tracking information to support your claim.

Receiving Your Payouts

Once a buyer confirms receipt, your payment is released and transferred to your bank account via Stripe.

€1.00 / $1.00 threshold required before payout is initiated

Bank Transfer Time

Typically 2-5 business days after payout is initiated

All payouts are processed securely through Stripe. You can view your payout history and bank account details in your Stripe Seller Dashboard.

Access your Stripe Express Dashboard to manage your seller finances and view detailed transaction history.

How to Access

Security Note

The dashboard opens in a new tab and is hosted securely by Stripe. This feature is only available for active sellers who have completed the onboarding process.
